Frequently asked questions about Family Surf Camp Polhena

  • Which packages do we book as a family?

    You first book your family room at the fixed room rate. Then, select the appropriate package for each guest. Guests aged 10 years and older book the Surf Camp Package, children aged 6 to 9 years book the Junior Camp Package, and children aged 0 to 5 years stay free of charge with the complimentary Infant Stay.

  • Is surf time with surf coaches included in the Junior Camp Package?

    No. The Junior Camp Package does not include shared surf time with surf coaches. If you would like additional surf support for your child, you are welcome to add Private Coaching.

  • Is the shared surf time in the afternoon a classic surf lesson?

    Not in the classic sense. The surf time comes with coach guidance, but it is more flexible than a course with a fixed structure. This leaves enough room for different levels, daily moods and family rhythms.

  • What are the requirements for surfing?

    You need to be able to swim safely. On site, our coaches will also look at which conditions, spots and content are suitable and safe.

  • What language is the shared surf time in?

    The shared surf time in the afternoon and Private Coaching take place in English. Our coaches have a lot of experience with international guests and German-speaking families.

  • Where does childcare take place?

    Childcare takes place at the camp, not at the beach or in the water. There are games, books and small activities. For time together at the beach or in the water, you will be out as a family.

  • When is arrival and departure?

    Arrival is always on Sunday. Departure is on Saturday, and check-out is by 12:00 pm.

  • Can we add yoga or Private Coaching?

    Yes. Private Coaching and yoga sessions can be booked in advance or added spontaneously on site.
